Jeremy Gregory: Founder- Jeremy Gregory is a proud Colorado native coming from a long and rich history of philanthropists, writers, eco-conscious farmers, and musicians. Naturally speaking this runs in his blood and has fused this rich history and his attributes into his personal and vocational endeavors.
Jeremy brings to the table years of nonprofit development and NGO Development experience and has become entrenched in the music & creative arts industry, and grass-roots organizing/advocacy community not only here in Colorado but nationally & internationally as well.
Jeremy Gregory co-founded Bands for Lands in 1996 and has also assisted and consulted in starting up other successful altruistic entities and projects. He followed in his father’s footsteps and joined the Peace Corps serving in the environmental sector in Africa. He formed and fronts a politically/socially charged touring band called The Construct and helped form a philanthropic production company and an award winning creative arts space that gave back to the community.
Jeremy also simultaneously oversees a project that is an extension of his endeavors while in the Peace Corps, working with his village and surrounding communities to build a community garden, Village Resource Center and an Income Generating Project that will raise revenue for the people via the Fair Trade Industry, while promoting a self-sustaining, egalitarian worldview and eco- conscious principles.
Jeremy has been able to drive new initiatives by establishing strategic partnerships. He has become renowned in organizational networking and coalition building. He is a motivator, public speaker and has been extremely committed and passionate to the environmental and social justice cause for as long as he can remember. It was how he was raised and is proud to make it his life-calling as his history will attest.
Doug Bohm: Co Founder- Not only has Doug Bohm been instrumental in the creation of Bands for Lands, he brings his creative talent of audio-visual production, event production and promotions and PR strategies to the BFL team. Doug also has a wealth of experience in project development, networking and coalition establishment.
Additionally, with over 20 years of A/V experience, Mr. Bohm has provided a live video element to many tours and concerts. He has produced branded video loops for events by Monster Energy Drink, Metromix/9 News Denver, Annheiser-Busch, Pabst, Lead Alliance Media Group, and the Beverage and Food Group. He is a master of the online viral marketing piece generating thousands of hits in a matter of hours prior to targeted events!
His video mixing (VJ) work makes him one of the most sought after VJs in the field providing visual content for Citizen Cope, Steve Aoki, Danny Masterson, DJ Swamp (Beck’s DJ), Low B (M.I.A.’s DJ), Egyptian Lover and countless others.
Bohm is an experienced documentarian working on documentary projects that have taken him all over the US and South America.
Creating visual content for Bands for Lands mobile venue and documenting the stages of it’s development will increase brand exposure for sponsors and promotion partners on a much greater scale than traditional static branding ever could.
His current pet project is adding a Bluetooth element to BFL events by generating interactivity that will engage audiences with the concert and provide after-event promotions that will keep people talking for weeks after the event has concluded. BFL is proud to have Doug Bohm a part of it's talented team of professionals!
Mark Risius: Director- Mark Risius is an accomplished artist, touring musician, writer, and business owner. Even though he grew up in Kansas, the mountains of Colorado were home with almost all family vacations consisting of hiking and biking in the high country. Mark has always held a deep appreciation for the natural world and this is reflected in his art as trees painted in oil on sandstone, in his poetry using various aspects of nature as metaphorical ingredients, and in his music with lyrics expressing self exploration with the intent that the more one comes to know one's self the more one naturally lives in harmony with the planet. Mark has been involved with Bands For Lands since it's inception in 1996 assisting in the creative and developmental aspects of the organization's successful evolution.
Baird Duschatko: Creative Director- Baird Duschatko has been working in the music industry for over 11 years, and has been an integral member in the operations and development of several independent record labels, publicity and distribution companies. In 2005, he started a management and consulting company, Igneous Music Group, developing the careers of many independent bands and solo musicians in New York City, San Francisco and Los Angeles. Baird draws from his long-time devotion to the evolution of human consciousness through the arts, as well as his long-time experience in public relations, project management and media production to assist in the development and implementation of the Bands For Lands mission.
Sarah Wood: Marketing & PR- Sarah Wood brings to BFL her attributes in Marketing & Management, Event Production, and Artist Relations & Development. Sarah is owner of Knock On Wood Production/RockON! Promo, Production Coordinator of the CMA Music Fest Riverfront Park stages, as well as Artist Development & Marketing Manager of Windswept Pacific Entertainment, among other prominent positions. Her eclectic experience and history in the music & creative arts industry is invalueable. She brings to BFL a creative and innovative vision and her approach has enhanced Bands for Lands remarkably.
Julian Watson: Outreach Director- The legacy of the Muscogee Nation echoes forth from their tribal son, Julian b!, AKA Suga Loaf Watson. Hailing from Oklahoma, this international artist hopes to enlighten the masses through education and heart-driven music. Julian b. has been gaining respect from music pioneers by sharing the stage with the likes of Public Enemy, The Sugar Hill Gang, The Last Poets, WAR, REDBONE, Grand Master Flash’s Melle Mel, Ani DiFranco, and Jello Biafra, He says hanging out with DEAD PREZ, Rage Against the Machine, Fugazi, RUN DMC, George Clinton, RAKIM, and Sting has only made him humble in his quest to create conscious music.
In 2004 Principle Chief A.D. Ellis of Muscogee (Creek) Nation proclaimed Julian B. the first ever good will ambassador for the tribe. This significant event among many others have led him to be covered in such publications as Indian Artist, Oklahoma’s Music Guide, the Lakota Times, Native People’s, Time Life Books, BLU, Aboriginal Voices, The L.A. Times, Platinum, Ritmo Beat and the Source.
In 1998 the Native American music Awards nominated Julian b. for the best Hip-Hop Album and yet another nomination in 2002. At Milwaukee’s Indian Summer Film Festival 2003, Julian received his first award for best music video. Music is soul food, he feels he has a chance to walk “heads up” with youth and teach expression, sobriety and self-esteem through the arts and traditional ways of life. The Noble Peace Prize recipient Rigoberta Menchu-Tumm shared words with Julian, “What you do in the struggle is important, and the people will listen.” Working with a vision driven by the spirits of his ancestors, Julian’s music is frequently heard on playlists captivating a worldwide audience in many countries. Julian brings to Bands for Lands years of experience as an educator, motivator, musician & creative artist, spiritual guide not to mention a rich and traveled life experience.
BOARD MEMBERS-
Terry Beck: Chair- Terry possesses a diverse and impressive resume. He currently works at JANUS CAPITAL GROUP in Denver as a Sr Product Specialist. He has experience as a Business Operations Analyst and as an Investor Communications Supervisor.
He was co-owner and curator of Revoluciones Collective Art Space as well as The Construct Creative Arts Space; winners of Top of the Rocky for top new alternative art space 2004 by The Rocky Mtn. News, winner of Gallery of the Year 2001 – 2002 by Go-Go Magazine and winner of Editor’s Choice Award for Denver’s Best Gallery 2001 from CitySearch.Com among others. Terry has a sound knowledge of the grass roots advocacy sector and has been proclaimed a visionary of the Denver underground creative arts and music scene.
Darius Smith: Vice Chair- (Navajo/Black) also serves as the Director of the Denver Anti-Discrimination Office within the Agency for Human Rights & Community Relations where he facilitates resolution of civil rights discrimination complaints by assisting individuals; he does this by utilizing the Indigenous form of “Peacemaking” ~ resolving conflict/disputes by using common sense principals and encouraging ethical settlements.
Darius holds a Masters of Nonprofit Management and a Certificate of Graduate Studies in American Indian History and Culture from Regis University and the University of Denver, respectfully. Professionally, Darius has served the American Indian community since 1992 in various positions with Habitat for Humanity International, Denver Public Schools and several American Indian nonprofit organizations.
Darius is currently working to strengthen the BFL board of directors roster and help implement the BFL educational component.
Additionally, Darius speaks nationally on topics ranging from “Indian Identity” to “Contemporary Urban Issues”, as well as on the issue of “American Indians as Mascots” and the negative impact it has on the self-esteem and self-determination of native people. Finally and personally, Darius is health conscious and enjoys working out and running and occasionally finds the time to participate in organized races and sporting events.
Seema Pandya: Secretary- Seema Pandya's resume illustrates her life commitment to art, music, culture, environmental awareness, and community building.
As Co-Owner and organizer of Denver's pioneering Revoluciones Collective Art Space (1998-2005) and The Construct Creative Arts Space (2004-2005), Seema co-organized over two hundred local and national art and music events helping to redefine Denver's creative culture. Revoluciones and The Construct have been recognized for several awards, such as, Top of the Rockies for Top New Alternative Art Space 2004 by The Rocky Mtn. News, Gallery of the Year 2001 – 2002 by Go-Go Magazine and Editor's Choice Award for Denver's Best Gallery 2001 from CitySearch.Com among others. In addition to her commitment of creating a home for the artistic and musical community, Seema is herself an artist and musician. She continues to evolve as a painter and installation artist, while currently performing as a percussionist and French horn player in the experimental folk rock band, Pee-Pee.
As a leader in the sustainable building community, Seema has been called upon to coordinate environmental goals for grassroots, large, and multinational companies in relation to business models, building practices, and education. She is currently a Consultant at YRG Sustainability Consultants with expertise relating to green building strategies, corporate sustainability planning, architectural design assistance, environmental design analysis, LEED coordination, project management, and green design education. Seema is an active member of the green building community through the US Green Building Council. She was invited to speak on a panel to explore a common ground for digital music culture and sustainability. She has won various awards for environmental design projects and has had her original designs published in academic texts about green design.
Jeremy Marquez: Board Member- Jeremy was principal designer at Revoluciones Art & Culture Collective and the Construct Creative Arts Space. He was the Production Manager at KeyOp. He is the current president of Implica Design. His accomplishments include logo design, company identity, and website, as well as every flier and advertisement from 2001-2005 with Revoluciones and The Construct Arts Space.
Now, emerging out of Revoluciones, where he was co-owner and curator he is now president of an international graphic design firm. As such, Implica is an extension and the logical progression of his work with Revoluciones. Jeremy was instrumental in making the following occur-

Currently, a future project is in the works. It is a custom brand of fashion design derived by partnering with Artists, Fashion Designers, Photographers, Hair Stylists, Make-Up Artists, Graphic Designers and Screen Printers. The group will produce products, presentations, and performances such as high-end custom garments for boutiques, advertisements and layouts & fashion/ art shows. Jeremy has an uncanny pulse on the underground activist and creative arts & music scene making him a vital asset to the BFL board of directors.
Jim Norris: Board Member- Jim is co-owner of 3 Kings, an award winning venue located in Denver. He has many successful years of experience in venue operations. He has booked many nationally and internationally renowned acts, bands & artists. Norris is entrenched in the underground DIY creative arts & music scene and activist movement. His knowledge, vocational and personal accomplishments and life experience compliment and lends credibility to the BFL roster.
Randi Narcomey: Board Member-
Allan Chande: Board Member- Allan is the youngest board member currently serving on the BFL board. Allan was born and raised in Malenga Village in Malawi, Africa. He assisted Jeremy in his Peace Corps duties further teaching him the languages, setting up meetings with the communities to assisting in the workshops where they taught Community Based Natural Resource Management. Allan is a respected leader recognized in his village and the surrounding communities in his region for his attributes in Community Networking, Coalition Building, and wealth of knowledge in agricultural, ecological & social and Income Generating Projects (IGP). Allan is currently living in South Africa working with Jeremy on a IGP project in conjunction with BFL and The Construct Foundation.
